Marshall A. Irvin

	Marshall A. Irvin, age 19, of Du Quoin, died Sunday, September 7, 2003 at 1:07 p.m.
	Marshall was born in Pinckneyville on September 28, 1983, a son of Robert Irvin and LaDonna (Bunton) Kovalak.  He was enrolled as a student at John A. Logan College with a desire to be a movie writer and director.  Marshall was very generous and extremely knowledgeable of world currencies.  While in High School, he was a member of the band and played the tuba.  Marshall was currently a member of the former Church of God in Du Quoin and also a member of a rock band named 'Poor', in which he played guitar and sang.
	Survivors include his father, Robert Irvin of Du Quoin; mother, LaDonna Kovalak of Johnston City; step-father, James Kovalak of Johnston City; one brother, Dustin Irvin of Du Quoin; grandmother, Judy (Bunton) Kirby and husband Rollie of Du Quoin; grandfather, James Bunton of Du Quoin; grandmother, June Dunmyer Paris and husband James of Dowell; a special aunt, Brandee Blalock of Du Quoin  and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
	He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Perry Irvin of Du Quoin; great-grandparents, Carson and Ruth Bunton of Du Quoin and Edward and Josephine Joslin of Du Quoin and a great-grandmother, Ludena Irvin of Du Quoin.
	Funeral services were held at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in Du Quoin on Friday, September 12 at 11 a.. with Reverend Keith Filer officiating.  Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in Du Quoin on Thursday, September 11 from 5 to 9 p.m. and then again on Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
	In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 'Marshall Irvin Fund' and will be accepted at the funeral home, Du Quoin Eagles or the Ten Pin Bowling Alley in Du Quoin.
